The Elephant and the Sparrow

The Elephant and the Sparrow

  • In a vast forest, there lived a mighty elephant named Chandaraka. He was proud of his strength and size, and he often used his enormous feet to trample small plants and creatures without a second thought.

One day, while Chandaraka was walking through the forest, he failed to notice a small sparrow nesting in a tree. His heavy feet crushed the tree and destroyed the sparrow's nest.

The sparrow, angry and sad, confronted Chandaraka and said, "You have destroyed my home, and now I have nothing. You may be strong, but you lack compassion."

Chandaraka, feeling remorseful, apologised to the sparrow and promised to make amends. He used his trunk to lift the fallen tree and carefully placed it back where it had stood.

The sparrow was grateful and said, "Strength is meaningless without kindness. You have shown that true strength lies in the heart."
