The Lion and the Hare

In a dense forest, there lived a lion named Bhasuraka. He was the king of the jungle and had a large group of animals as his subjects. Bhasuraka was wise and just, and the animals respected and feared him.

One day, a clever hare named Kalabha entered the lion's territory. Kalabha had heard about the lion's might and decided to test it. He began spreading rumors among the animals that a monstrous lion, much stronger and ferocious than Bhasuraka, was coming to take over the jungle.

The animals panicked, and the news reached Bhasuraka. Worried about the threat, he gathered all the animals to discuss the matter. Kalabha, the hare, pointed to a distant cave and said, "That's where the monstrous lion lives. He's coming to conquer our jungle."

Bhasuraka, concerned about the safety of his kingdom, decided to investigate. He asked the hare to lead the way. Kalabha led Bhasuraka to the cave, where he pointed inside and said, "He's in there. Go and confront him."

Bhasuraka, filled with fear, peered inside the cave. To his surprise, he saw his own reflection in a pool of water. The clever hare had played a trick on him. Bhasuraka realized that he had been deceived and felt ashamed.

Moral of the Story

The moral of the story is, "Never trust rumors without verification." It teaches us to be wise and not to jump to conclusions based on hearsay.
